The second publication of the Department of Psaltic Art and Musicology, titled “Achievements and perspectives in the research and study of Chanting art” was released on Tuesday, June 27, 2014. It consists of the proceedings of the conference that took place in Volos, February 2012, in honor of Gregory Th. Stathis, Professor Emeritus of Byzantine Musicology in the National Universtiry of Athens. The book was presented on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Conference Centre of the Metropolis of Demetrias, in Melissiatika, Volos, Greece, as the inaugurating event of the 1st International Interdisciplinary Musicology Conference “The Chanting Art as an autonomous science.”
