Efstathios Grammenos

Born in 1970 in Volos. Holder degree from Faculty of Theology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He studied Byzantine music in Volos near cantor Michael Meletis. Holder of degree in Byzantine music from Greek Conservatory with teacher the well known cantor Manolis Chatzimarkos and Diploma in Byzantine Music from the Conservatory of Alimos. He is also connoisseur in European music. He taught Byzantine music and Theology in secondary education for ten years. He served as cantor in many churches in Volos. Since 1997 teaches Byzantine Music in Music School of Metropolis Dimitriados. Since 2000 he is Lambadarios in Metropolitan Church of St. Nicholas Volos. In 2010 was appointed assistant choir of Volos’ Byzantine Choir “John Koukouzeles ” whose is president from June 2013. Since 1994 is also actively involved with the local Government . He is married with teacher Filitsa Mourtzopoulos and father of three girls .
